The rest area is property of NIS (Naftagas), and was built in 1965 for company purposes, mainly banquets, celebrations, and employee holidays. After NIS was privatised, the company lost interest for it. The only visitors of the place now are security guirs who keep this place from falling apart. The rest area has an authentic small park for kids which has an eery, nostalgic feel to it.
The property is up for auction since 2012.
