Gorgeous views adorn the road towards this heritage site. This interesting signpost is carved into the soft limestone that’s surrounded by thick forest with short growth. It’s exactly this difficult approach and physical distance from the village that made it safe, and so it’s mostly still in its original state. This is the only anchoress in Vojvodina, and represents a protected cultural heritage monument. It was built by monks in the Rakovac monastery in the 18th century. It’s known to have been visited often by many from the church’s highest ranks, which gives it a remarkable historic and cultural value.
